project has started with observing wood pieces at some carpentry workshops and book stacks at home and the understanding that both are just similar, so why not combine the two?

Designer Isabel Quiroga wanted to use some old pieces of furniture to create something new, original and unique …and she created this bookcase made of used tables. The tables are small cut and stacked. This is a great example of reuse old pieces of furniture to create something cool. The design is suitable for various purposes, including the establishment of a store. This design is called Storyteller, because Isabel is fascinated by the history of this furniture.

Juxtaposed: Religion by California-based design studio blankblank was produced in 2007 as a limited edition of 50. The first 47 numbers were sold out in September of 2008. Religion is the first in a series of nine subjects slated for annual limited-edition production. All subjects in the Juxtaposed series are united by the designers’ intent to “unify those things that typically divide.”

blankblank will allow private bids at www.blankblank.net from September 16 to 26, 2009 for the last 3 limited edition of 50 since 2007 production.
