Colorful Paper Gadgets by Zim & Zou

  • Sharebar

Thibault Zimmerman (Zim) and Lucie Thomas (Zou)  from Zim & Zou studio  spent almost a year building the eight-piece “Back to Basics” series inspired by 80′ days. Series include: Polaroid camera, an old Leica, a Walkman  and a Nintendo game control.

“We decided to use a paper process to transform an industrial object into a handmade craft. The fact that the objects are not working places the user in a spectator position, a way to see the object out of its function.”

I think that in a slightly simplified form these would make an awesome set of children’s toys that they could cut out and assemble themselves.
