I like the design, though I seriously doubt that any child would leave it alone long enough for it to be a really functional shelf. I also wonder how the pins are attached the board — if they slide too easily through, they could accidentally be shot through to the other side by an errant elbow or hand, dropping whatever was on the shelf.
