Wonderlamps

Studio Job and designer Pieke Bergmans present a collection of polished bronze objects with blown-glass lamps spilling out of them called Wonderlamps for Italian gallery Dilmos in MilanDesign Week 2010 – this week.
The series includes a pair of buckets where the glass seems to flow from one to the other, a cooking pot with the light boiling over and a smoking pipe with light emerging like a plume of smoke.

whimsical and fun. I love how these objects make light an active participant rather than just a passive tool that’s overlooked in the background. Great movement. I would love to own one of these.
